Eden Espresso

Today, we ventured out to Malvern's Eden Espresso, a friend's favourite local cafe. 

While the other girls stuck to their coffee and a muffin or two, I went for The Breakfast Melt.
Now, this dish wasn't actually listed on the menu anymore. However, having seen photos of this on Urbanspoon, I asked if it was still available. The waiter replied with a nod and smile.

The Breakfast Melt

The dish was halved bagels topped with a spread of smashed avocado, slices of tomato a pan-fried egg and finished with melted cheese on top. The dish itself looked nothing special, a little flat, and wasn't what I would consider 'pretty'. It was what I would call a standard breakfast, nothing fancy but was still very satisfying.

Being a little empty when we arrived, I was a little skeptical. However, as the minutes passed, more and more customers rushed in. With such helpful staff and cozy seating, I can see how it would be a regular brunch spot for locals.
